Low Altitude Adventure: The Premier Trek in Nepal
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most memorable trekking routes in the Annapurna region. The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is also part of the ABC Trek but features a lower maximum altitude. While Annapurna Base Camp reaches 4,130 m, Poon Hill is only 3,210 m (10,531 ft), and this elevation is typically reached for just a few hours to enjoy the sunrise view.
Our highest overnight stop at Ghorepani is at 2,874 m (9,429 ft).The low altitude means that cases of altitude sickness are rare during this trek, as symptoms usually occur above 3,500 m. Thus, the Poon Hill trek offers a low-altitude hiking experience with stunning mountain views, making it a worthwhile investment for any trekking trip.
