Uttam was my guide. He was amazing as we had planned a few five thousand metre peaks but the I got a deep tooth infection and we had to abandon.
Uttam ensured we got back to Kathmandu safely, found an expert dentist and got me treatment.
Instead of abandoning my plans Uttam devised a lowland trek route that was extraordinary. We visited temples, schools (at my request) and as a beautiful surprise met his family in their village where I was treated like a king!
I left Nepal feeling absolutely incredible bit it wasn’t for the quick thinking of Uttam it would have been a washout.
