Trekkers Experience With ebcTrails Trek
I Had No Business Being There—And Made It Anyway
April 3, 2026I’d never done anything like this before. No trekking experience, no idea what altitude sickness actually felt like—just a bucket list and some stubbornness. Booked through eBcTrails after reading through their itinerary, which actually explained why each stop was where it was, not just listed the days.
Our guide figured out within the first two hours that I was slower on the ascent than I thought I’d be. He never made it awkward. Just quietly adjusted my pace and kept talking about whatever I wanted to talk about. At Namche he sat with me for twenty minutes going over what the next few days would look like, which honestly calmed me down more than anything else could have.
Made it to Base Camp on day ten. Cried a bit, which I wasn’t expecting.
Eleven People, Four Countries, Zero Things That Went Wrong
February 10, 2026Organizing a trek for eleven colleagues across four different countries, with varying fitness levels and two vegetarians and one person who’d never left Europe before, is the kind of project that can go wrong in about a hundred ways. I was the one who booked EBC Trails and the one who would’ve had to answer for it if anything went sideways.
Nothing went sideways. Pre-trip communication was quick and clear. Permits, airport transfers, dietary requirements — all handled without me chasing anyone. When one colleague developed mild altitude symptoms near Dingboche, the guide made the call to have him rest an extra day without any drama or pressure. He made it to Base Camp the following day.
I’ll be honest: I was watching everything pretty critically the whole time. I couldn’t find much to complain about.
Best trekking company in Nepal
December 9, 2025I was in a dilemma about choosing a trekking company in Nepal since it was my first time trekking. To be honest, eBc Trails was my instant decision. But it was the best choice that I could’ve made. They are the best trekking agency in Nepal. Personally, I love how the guide was friendly and helpful. From Kathmandu to Khumbu, it felt like I had a friend along with me because he was a very down-to-earth guy. I might regret saying this as I am planning to go trekking again with EBC but the guide even helped me carry my loads when I was dead-tired and was not able to go forward. Overall, he ensured that I took as much as I could and had the best accommodations available during our stops. FYI, I went with private trekking and eBc helped me understand all the important information, including the itineraries and schedule of the trek. I don’t know if it was my inexperience speaking or what, but from what I could muster up online, eBc Trails is the best trekking company in Nepal, especially if you’re a beginner like me.
One of Us Runs Races. The Other Doesn’t. Both of Us Reached Base Camp
November 5, 2025My partner Sarah and I have pretty different fitness levels—I run half-marathons; she prefers not to. We were nervous that one of us would either hold the other back or get dragged further than was comfortable.
eBC Trails, honestly one of the best trekking companies in Nepal, handled this better than I expected. They asked upfront about our individual experience levels and built some flexibility into the schedule rather than treating us as a single unit. Our porter was patient with Sarah on the steeper climbs and somehow always produced hot lemon tea at exactly the right moment.
The teahouses they selected tended to be warmer and better maintained than what some others in our group (with a different agency) stayed in. Small thing, but after a cold day it’s not a small thing.
I Did This Trek Before With Someone Else. There’s No Comparison
April 1, 2025Did EBC four years ago with a different company. That trip was fine—got to Base Camp, came home, and moved on. When I decided to go back and try the Three Passes route, I used EBC Trails on a friend’s recommendation.
The difference I noticed most was how the guide handled the group dynamic. We had eight people with pretty different motivations for being there—one guy was clearly treating it as a race, and one woman was processing something personal and just needed quiet. Our guide read the room and somehow managed to keep everyone moving without forcing everyone into the same experience. No idea how he does that, but it’s not nothing.
Logistics were tighter than my previous trip. No missed pickups, no wrong permits, no waiting around confused in Lukla. If you’ve done this trail before with someone else and thought it was just okay—worth trying again with this team.
I’m 58. They Didn’t Talk Me Out of It—They Made Sure I’d Make It.
March 5, 2025I’m 58 and I told EBC Trails exactly that when I inquired. I half expected some kind of polite discouragement. Instead, they asked about my fitness background, suggested a slightly extended itinerary that added an extra acclimatization day, and recommended I speak to a travel doctor about altitude medication before flying out—which I did.
The guide they assigned me, Pemba, had clearly worked with older trekkers before. He monitored oxygen saturation each morning without making it feel clinical, and on the descent he picked routes that were easier on the knees. I’ve trekked in the Alps and in Patagonia. The physical challenge here is different—it’s not the steepness; it’s the air. The slower pace EBC Trails built in made the difference between reaching Base Camp and not.
I reached Base Camp.
Real deal-best experience, no doubt
May 7, 2024eBcTrails was brilliant—hands down the best Nepal trekking company I’ve come across! I’d always heard Nepalese are super friendly, and these guys proved it big time. Picked them for my Everest Base Camp trip, and it was a total blast.
The guides were excellent, well-informed and laid-back. Our guide led us through the hike like an expert, sharing details about the mountains and Sherpa culture with such passion that it felt intimate. He provided excellent attention; one day when my wife was exhausted, he even helped her with her bag. Never felt lost or rushed with them around.
The company itself? Solid. Everything was sorted—pickup, gear, plan—no mess-ups. I felt like they actually gave a damn. Only thing, the tea house stays could’ve been comfier for the kids, but that’s it. For a Nepal trekking company, eBcTrails is the real deal—best experience, no doubt!
I always heard that Nepalese were friendly in nature. And if everyone in Nepal is like people from eBc Trails, then it is a correct saying. I chose eBc to tour in Nepal and experience the cultural heritage masterpiece I’ve always heard about. Personally, I was also keenly interested in Hindu Mythology so I bought their Hindu Pilgrimage tour package for me, my wife and two children (as a whole). It was a wholesome experience. I don’t think I missed out on any temples (Edit: Turns out I had missed out on many), as our guide took us through many of them and explained about each of them with sheer devotion and dedication, like he was defending his thesis. Overall, I think accommodation can be much better, especially if you have children with you but I can say this confidently that they are the best tour company in Nepal.
eBc Trails gave me a Nepal trip that’s still ringing in my ears. Seriously, they’re the tour company in Nepal you don’t sleep on. That Nepalese hospitality everyone talks about? They’ve got it in spades.
I picked their Hindu Pilgrimage tour, just for me, chasing some soul in those temples. The guide was unreal—walked me through places like Pashupatinath with this fire, dropping stories about the gods that made me feel every brick. One day, I was knackered from all the steps at Swayambhunath, and he just slowed down and handed me water—no big deal, but it stuck with me. It wasn’t some robotic tour; it was like a mate showing me his backyard.
eBc Trails nailed the rest too. Pickup was on point, food was proper—think hot dal, bhat and don’t forget momos that hit the spot. The guesthouses? Eh, beds could’ve been kinder to my back, but with a team this good, I didn’t care. They’re not just a tour company in Nepal; they’re the ones who turn a trip into something you carry home.
Just got back from an epic trek with eBcTrails, and honestly, they’re the best trekking company in Nepal. The guides were super chill and knew their stuff, sharing cool local insights you won’t get in any guidebook. Everything was handled properly, so we could just kick back and soak in the Himalayan vibes. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, real trek experience, eBCTrails is definitely one to check out.
