Note: You can choose to trek the Everest Three Passes in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction, depending on your preference.
- Clockwise Route:
Namche → Thame → Renjola Pass → Gokyo → Chola Pass → Everest Base Camp → Kongma La Pass → Dingboche → Tengboche → Namche → Lukla - Anti-clockwise Route:
This is essentially the reverse of the clockwise route, which is the more commonly trekked path.
Both routes offer stunning views and challenges, with the clockwise route often considered a bit tougher due to higher elevations earlier on, while the anti-clockwise route is considered more gradual.

Permit Requirements for EBC Trails:
There are mainly 2 permits required for Everest base camp trek. But if you hike from jiri to Everest, you must get Gaurishankar conservation area permit too. If you planning to climb peaks nearby everest, you must get climbing permit too.

2. Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit
- Cost: NPR 2,000 (for foreign nationals)

3. Gaurishankar Conservation Area Permit
- Cost: NPR 3,000 (for foreign nationals)
- Issued By: Nepal Tourism Board
(Only needed if trekking via Jiri)
4. Climbing Permits
