TRIP OVERVIEW

Every year people repeat the same Christmas holiday package rhythm: a familiar city, a familiar dining table, the same cold evenings at home. It’s comfortable, but it doesn’t always feel special. Here’s the thought that sparks this trip; what if Christmas vacation or the New Year vacation became more than routine? What if you traded your living room for a quiet Himalayan trail, your usual morning for sunrise on PoonHill, and your New Year Eve countdown for a lakeside celebration in Pokhara?

This family-friendly Christmas holiday package was created exactly for that moment of curiosity. It’s a holiday journey that blends celebration with discovery. You arrive in Kathmandu just before Christmas Eve, wander through ancient alleys lit with warm festive lights, and join travelers from around the world in Thamel’s cheerful nightlife. Christmas Day brings a slower rhythm, a chance to walk through temples, stupas, and local markets that bring the city alive with culture. The next day you leave the capital for a scenic drive toward Pokhara, watching Nepal’s countryside unfold like a moving postcard.

From Pokhara, the path bends toward the mountains. A short and easy-paced trek takes you through Ulleri, Ghorepani, PoonHill, Tadapani, and Ghandruk—villages surrounded by oak forests, stone staircases, warm teahouses, and constant views of Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri Range. Families, beginners, and casual trekkers handle this route comfortably, even in winter. What makes this Christmas vacation trekking package special is the mix of celebration and nature. You’re never far from a festival mood, and you’re always within reach of a close-up Himalayan panorama.

After days of walking through peaceful trails, you return to Pokhara for the grand finale. The Lakeside area becomes one of the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Nepal, with street festivals, music corners, light shows, and a cheerful crowd. It’s simple—new city, new vibe, new memories. The next morning, you travel back to Kathmandu with a sense of finishing the year in a rare and meaningful way.

If your schedule differs or if trekking feels like too much, you can switch to an easier combination: Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park, Bandipur, and Pokhara. Or choose the more scenic Mardi Himal route. The entire plan is customizable depending on your Christmas break duration and travel preferences.

Bottom line: this isn’t a standard vacation. This is a holiday you’ll talk about for years. Suggest us to Customize your itinerary as your preferable schedule and trails.
